ALISHA MAY DONOVAN has come forward as an alibi for Tripp's whereabouts, claiming she was with him on the night of the fire and that there was no chance he could have been there.
interviewing teenagers was not something nik enjoyed doing. oh he knew it was part of the job but he didn't have to like it. but they needed to get to the bottom of the fire at the barn, the fire fighters were working on how the place burnt and it was his stations job to work out who had burnt it down, they had their suspicions but he was hoping they were wrong. he walked into the interview room with a quick smile as he looked at alisha. "thanks for coming down." he said as he set the file he had in his hands on the table and sat in the chair across from her. "let's get started shall we?" he said as he pulled a pen from his pocket and clicked the ball out. "where were you the night of the fire?"
Alisha's foot tapped against the metal leg of the desk, the frustration at being left here to wait for so long starting to get to her. She knew they did it on purpose, she knew a lot about police officers and none of it was good. They'd make you wait just to agitate you, and it was working, which annoyed Alisha all the more. All this just to say she was with Tripp, why did they need to drag her in and interrogate her to tell them her boyfriend was innocent? This was bullshit.
The door opened, and the quick smile did nothing to alleviate her annoyance. She did not smile back. "thanks for coming down." Alisha gave a disbelieving "Mhmm," in response - as if she'd had a choice. It was either this, or let them arrest Tripp for something he didn't do. "let's get started shall we?" She shifted a little in her chair but otherwise remained as she was, one leg crossed over the other, arms folded in defence. "where were you the night of the fire?" Alisha sighed - she'd said all of this before. "I was in my room, at uni, watching a movie with Tripp." How simpler could it get?
